Arroyo Grande, United States, October 18, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Lotus Endometriosis Institute has published a physician profile for Dr. Steven Vasilev, M.D., outlining his surgical training, board certifications, and the Institute's integrative approach to endometriosis care. The profile is intended to give prospective patients a clear picture of Dr. Vasilev's qualifications and methods ahead of a consultation.

Patients facing multi-organ endometriosis often endure years of misdiagnosis, repeat surgeries, and fragmented care across providers who rarely coordinate, the Institute notes. Finding a surgeon whose qualifications and approach are clearly communicated before the first appointment can shorten that process considerably.
The profile highlights Dr. Vasilev's standing as the only physician in the United States quadruple board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Integrative Medicine, and Integrative & Holistic Medicine, with a practice focused entirely on endometriosis. He brings more than 30 years of surgical experience to complex, multi-organ, and re-operative cases, including procedures involving the bowel, bladder, ureters, and diaphragm, according to the Institute.
Those credentials underpin the treatment model at Lotus Endometriosis Institute, which pairs fellowship-level MIGS and robotic excision training with board-certified integrative medicine. The profile describes how nutrition, hormonal balance, dysbiosis correction, and stress modulation are incorporated into recovery planning alongside surgery.
Dr. Vasilev's academic record includes an appointment as Professor at Saint John's Cancer Institute in Santa Monica and Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he has trained fellows and residents in advanced MIGS techniques for decades, according to the Institute. He has authored more than 90 publications, including a gynecologic oncology textbook, and has been listed nationally in "Best Doctors" for over 20 years.
Lotus Endometriosis Institute provides surgical evaluation and advanced excision care for patients with suspected endometriosis, adenomyosis, and complex pelvic pain. Virtual consultations are available for patients traveling from outside the state, allowing an initial evaluation before any decision about in-person surgical planning.
