Tampa, Florida Oct 17, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. Colm McAindriu, renowned author and researcher, is thrilled to announce his participation in the upcoming 2023 AASL National Conference, one of the biggest librarian book fair events in the country. The conference will take place from October 19 to 21, 2023, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida.

Love as a Way of Knowing is a powerful memoir that delves into the author's experiences growing up in the Jim Crow culture of the Mississippi Delta. Set between 1944 and 1963, Dr. McAindriu shares his personal journey within a society where white males held the power to interpret and enforce spiritual and secular rules. Through his poignant storytelling, he sheds light on the impact of these interpretations on the lives of black individuals, particularly black males, and the challenges they faced in a world dominated by white supremacy.
The book explores the influence of the Old Testament of the Bible on the beliefs and actions of both white and black communities. Dr. McAindriu reflects on the role of the black male as the enforcer of "the white man's rule" and the consequences of ignorance, violence, and limited education within the black community. Love as a Way of Knowing is a thought-provoking and deeply personal account that offers a unique perspective on the complexities of race, religion, and power dynamics in the Jim Crow era.
Dr. Colm McAindriu is a highly accomplished author and researcher. After leaving the Mississippi Delta for Chicago in 1963, he served in the military and later obtained two Doctorates. Currently working on his third PhD, Dr. McAindriu is passionately focused on self-realization as a life-purpose. His research, study, and writing revolve around the concept of self-realization, and he is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and insights with others.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. McAindriu enjoys scenic drives to the mountains and beaches, reading, and meditation. His commitment to self-realization research is evident in his writing, which offers readers a profound understanding of the human experience and the potential for personal growth and transformation.
Love as a Way of Knowing is available for purchase at Authors Press, Creative Books, Sweet A's Book Cafe, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other online book resellers.
