According to Statistics Canada, the demand for childcare has risen sharply over the past 3 decades, corresponding to increases in dual-income earner families, single-parent, and stepfamily compositions impacting the need and types of arrangements required. When choosing a provider, location and trust in the caregiver were cited as the leading reasons behind parents’ choices.

After entering their postcode, the search results will display available babysitters and their distance from the user’s location. The website also shows the type of work each sitter is looking for - whether occasional, regular, live-in, live-out, school year or summer season occupation, together with their pay rate.
