Independent living communities are ideal for seniors looking for an active retirement option. Orchard Park was created by Michael Bradshaw and Stephanie Herzig following a multi-generation tradition in senior accommodation and care services.
To help seniors looking to move to Orchard Park, the independent living center announced updated packages for out-of-state clients. Future Orchard Park Columbia residents will benefit from $5000 in moving expenses, thus facilitating the transition from the former home to the new senior community.
Orchard Park was designed to provide a unique community for seniors aged 50 and upwards. Combining socialization opportunities with plenty of discrete and intimate areas, the living facility features multiple single-level cottages build specifically for the needs of senior citizens.
All Orchard Park cottages are one-level, no-stair homes with uniform vinyl plank flooring to eliminate the risks of tripping, falling and other similar accidents. The doorways are wide enough to fit wheelchairs of all types and sizes, and showers include a built-in seat.
Each cottage has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a garage.
For improved safety, Orchard Park is surrounded by a fence, with remote- and code-secured gates which are closed at night.
Available services include transportation, daily check-in, daily meals, household maintenance and many others.
According to the owners, the out-of-state moving services are just the first step towards developing a leading independent living facility for active seniors: “Our long term goal is to expand the neighborhood to include additional cottages and club house on the property as well”, declared Stephanie Herzig, co-owner of Orchard Park.
