DigitalXRAID Launches Managed Phishing Service to Help Workforce Avoid Attacks

The leading IT security company’s HarpoonX Managed Phishing Service aims to educate the workforce on how to detect malicious emails and protect their organisation from phishing attacks.

Doncaster,United Kingdom - September 13, 2022 /PressCable/ —

To help enterprises dodge fraudulent emails and familiarise the workforce with the impacts of phishing, DigitalXRAID, a CREST-accredited cybersecurity company, has released a fully managed security service: HarpoonX Managed Phishing Service.

By executing phishing scams, hackers try to trick users into handing over sensitive personal information through a spoofed email that appears to be from a legitimate company or an individual in their contact list.

One of the easiest techniques of social engineering attacks, phishing is not a new attack vector executed by hackers on businesses. In fact, more than 3.4 billion phishing emails are sent daily that target 54% of enterprises worldwide, leaving them at a constant threat of data and financial loss.

Even scarier, 97% of email users fail to identify sophisticated phishing attacks. The result is that 30% of all phishing attempts successfully make it past the IT security of a company, thus leading to lowered productivity (67%), massive data loss (54%), and negative brand equity (50%).

Today, while 93% of successful cyberattacks start with a spear-phishing attack and 66% of malware is installed via malicious email attachments, having a robust security system in action is critical to ensure no phishers can harpoon a business’s mission-critical data.

DigitalXRAID claims that by leveraging open-source threat intelligence, and the intelligence accumulated by the Security Operations Centre, HarpoonX offers real-world phishing campaigns tailored to a business’s culture. It is fully hosted in the UK and complies with UK and EU data privacy regulations.

In addition, by utilising red teaming – a full-scope, multi-layered attack simulation, the company subjects the workforce of a business to a replicated phishing attack used by cybercriminals. The aim is to evaluate staff awareness and offer targeted employee training on the best practices for efficiently spotting and reacting to suspected malicious emails sent to their personal or business accounts.

According to DigitalXRAID, its HarpoonX support forms part of a strong security posture that can reduce the vulnerability of successful phishing scams by up to 80%.

To quote a client, “Rather than selling to us, DigitalXRAID educated us and let us make our own mind up, helping us to understand the importance of cyber security and what needs to be done in the future.”
