The senior HR expert explains that “Navigating Interview Pitfalls for Job Seekers” is a new course designed for new graduates who are anxious about their first job interview. Esther reveals that many first-time job seekers are unaware of the interview mistakes that could cost them a job.
The most common mistake is appearing disinterested in the job, either by not being attentive to the recruiter or having an overly relaxed posture, such as extreme slouching and a sleepy demeanor. Hiring managers may find this to be unsuitable behavior and will most likely take the candidate off their potential talent pool, the expert highlights.
Esther reveals in the course that most, if not all, recruiters use various types of psychology to formulate their questions and assess the answers of each candidate. While there are no hard and fast rules to how a candidate should respond, first-time job seekers need to know how to create compelling answers that also reflect their work ethic.
In the course, recent graduates will also learn how to utilize AI, such as ChatGPT, to prepare for an interview. The technology, in particular, can help them generate possible questions and the most appropriate answers to them.
Esther says, "By the end of the "Navigating Interview Pitfalls for Job Seekers" course, you will be well-prepared for your next interview and equipped with lifelong techniques to continuously adapt and improve in the ever-evolving job market."
