The newly updated service uses MicroSeal Fabric Protection to safeguard rugs from sun fade, wine spills, dirt and other day-to-day wear. This carpet protectant will extend the life of any rug by sealing the fibers with an invisible shield to prevent the absorption of spills and dirt.

River City Rug Cleaning’s new MicroSeal treatment works on most fabrics by penetrating individual fibers to provide a flexible barrier. This helps to strengthen fibers, providing long-term protection against accidental spills and the sun’s UV rays.

The treatment takes approximately 1 to 2 hours to dry and will continue to penetrate fibers over the next four days to ensure full coverage. Non-toxic and non-allergic, this treatment is safe to use in any household, including those with children or pets.

Rugs that have been protected with River City’s MicroSeal treatment are much easier to clean when accidental spillages occur. According to research, 99% of furnishings treated with MicroSeal can be cleaned with a simple blotting technique. However, for customers looking for a more thorough clean, MicroSeal is able to withstand 8 to 10 professional cleanings from River City Rug Cleaning before reapplication is needed.

This professional cleaning service works on rugs damaged by pet urine, spots and smells or color bleed. Before any work is commenced, all rugs are inspected for pre-existing issues and a cleaning plan is agreed with the customer. Once approved, all rugs are hand cleaned, to protect the fibers, before being treated with any finishing processes needed. For all their rug cleaning and protection services, the company offers a pick-up and drop-off service.

Customers can also purchase rug pads from River City Rug Cleaning to prevent slippages, buckling and wrinkling of the fabric. According to research, rug pads can also help to keep homes clean by preventing the growth of mildew and mold.

A spokesperson for the company said: “No matter what part of the world your rug comes from we have the correct cleaning solutions. At River City Rug Cleaning, we provide you with professional cleaning at an affordable price. Our detail-oriented team are true professionals - We inspect each rug and give it the attention that it deserves.”
