Ground Gas Protection Verification CPD Accredited Seminar By GeoShield Ltd
Apr 2, 2018
GeoShield in conjunction with the Concrete Society, are proud to be able to host this free CPD Accredited seminar on Ground Gas Protection Verification for construction industry professionals
Leeds, United Kingdom - April 2, 2018 /PressCable/ —
When the British Standard for good practice on the testing and verification of Gas Protection Systems for Buildings against Hazardous Ground Gases, BS8485:2015 was radically updated in 2015, it made independent Verification and Testing mandatory and to be included in the specification (if excluded a building may receive a zero CS/GSV rating & use prohibited).
The majority of Local Authorities now insist on Independent Verification on all of their regional sites requiring ground gas protection systems to be installed. This is in evidence through the YAHPAC Technical Guidance – Verification requirements for gas protection systems document.
As members of the CPD Service and one of the leading Ground Gas Protection Verification companies throughout the UK mainland Europe and the Middle East GeoShield are focused on improving the construction industries knowledge in the use of the many & varied ground gas protection systems available and the associated validation & verification programs which are now often mandatory.
They understand how important it is for Construction Professionals, Architects, Engineers & Building Owners to be made aware of the most recent British Standards, how these Standards and the CIRIA recommendations work in conjunction, what are the expectations & insistences of the Local Authorities and the Environment Agency with regards to the protection against ingress of hazardous ground gases into new structures and how catastrophic results may be for noncompliance.
To this end GeoShield, in conjunction with the Concrete Society are proud to be able to host this Free CPD Accredited seminar for professionals in the construction industry.
