A Superior Towing Co. of Davie, Fla., and Guardian Fleet Services Inc. of West Palm Beach, two well-respected towing and recovery companies in South Florida, have merged.

Guardian Fleet Services Inc. and its operating subsidiaries are proud to announce the merger of A Superior Towing Company of Davie, Florida, effective immediately. The merger through Guardian' Fleets ESOP Trust gives both companies greater access to municipal, state, and commercial customers throughout the state of Florida and the southeastern United States.

The combined companies perform towing, recovery, and specialized transportation services over 600 times per day. Guardian Fleet's overall ability to provide customers prompt, quality service in all markets throughout Florida sets it apart from other service providers, making Guardian Fleet's companies the vendors of choice to the motoring public, said Guardian Fleet CEO Geoff Russell. 

Guardian Fleet was formed in 2017 through the Guardian ESOP Trust.

The merger with A Superior Towing brings a well-run and respected service provider in the Broward County market for over 33 years into Guardian Fleet's organization, filling a void between the Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties in the South Florida region. With the addition of A Superior Towing's fleet and its 40 well-qualified and experienced employees, Guardian Fleet and its subsidiaries now employ over 300 personnel dedicated to meeting customers' expectations while operating over 200 light-, medium-, heavy-duty recovery vehicles and specialized tractors, along with 100 trailers.

The merger generates synergies for Guardian Fleet's Florida operations that will continue to be of great benefit to customers within the Florida marketplace, along with others located or transporting in the Southeast United States.

Sean Loscalzo, A Superior Towing's founder and president, will continue as president of A Superior Towing, while assuming additional responsibilities as vice president of the South Florida market reporting to CEO Russell and Chief Operating Officer Scotty Crockett.
