Azure IAM has announced new updates to its identity management solutions for businesses wanting to implement robust systems to reduce cyber attacks and data breaches.

Sterling, United States - January 26, 2024 /NewsNetwork/ —
As experts in Azure and identity management, the company creates and implements large-scale identity systems for businesses in the public and private sectors. Businesses can use Azure Active Directory with end-to-end support from the team, and implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) from Microsoft to increase security.

The ultimate goal, the firm says, is to create passwordless login once the organization is ready - with access provided via the Microsoft authentication app or using a custom security key.
“If a password exists, it is then an attack surface,” a spokesperson for the company says. “Ultimately, the goal is to do away with the password - and we can help you reach that readiness state.”
Research from Expert Insights shows that human-related factors play a role in 74% of data breaches, with privilege misuse, stolen credentials, and social engineering being prevalent issues. Implementing strict access policies and multi-factor authentication can help mitigate these risks.
Azure Active Directory is central to the Azure IAM offering, acting as the gatekeeper for cloud resources. Backed by the team's experience in designing and supporting large-scale Azure Active Directory systems, the service establishes permissions based on identity and designated roles.
The company explains that supplementary authentication methods further enhance security - for example, OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and Microsoft Authenticator add multi-factor authentication on top of a user's credentials, while custom tokens with short lifespans prevent the abuse of stolen login information.
The service also allows for the synchronization of on-premises and cloud identity management. Through customization of Azure AD Connect rules, users maintain one identity, enabling centralized control regardless of whether resources reside on Azure or local servers.
Azure IAM allows clients to reduce dependency on difficult-to-maintain legacy products. Implementing the most advanced software can help to prevent cyberattacks, data breaches, insider threats, and other security incidents.
The spokesperson adds: “Our solution spans from the on-premise data centers to the cloud. We have the expertise to accompany you in your quest to establish a digitally trusted identity system while staying compliant with the laws that regulate your industry.”
