Ensuring people succeed in living a healthy life free of preventable chronic disease, is the bold innovation of a ground-breaking nonprofit called AlternaCare.
Founded by humanitarians committed to healthy living, AlternaCare leads change through a culture of integrity, honesty, and advocacy for people. A shift for people comes in ‘SOULUTIONS’, that is answers people need. Solving problems with advocacy and answers is AlternaCare who leads a global movement for #PreventionNotPrescription.
“Living Prevention is our lifestyle and culture”, says Kari E. Gray, CEO AlternaCare, and Host of Living Prevention TV. The brainchild behind the movement, Kari says, “When we know the truth, it’s our power…..when we live the truth it changes our lives”.
AlternaCare is launching a membership community in January of 2019. Unlike any other, AlternaCare is bringing prevention literacy together with a ‘healthy living economy’ for 2019. And they are doing so by including member-access to their own healthy insurance alternative.
A fresh answer shattering the glass ceiling conventional health insurance places on alternative medicine, AlternaCare delivers what health insurance won’t; primary care for all medicine – alternative, integrative and conventional.
Determined to free people of prescription dependence, and the financial burden of conventional health insurance, AlternaCare see Living Prevention literacy as urgent, and the key to change.
With health illiteracy identified by the American Heart Association affecting “88% of Americans identified as health illiterate”, statistics also show 70% in the U.S. are prescription dependent, and 20% are on 5 or more prescriptions.
With 133 million in the U.S. with at least one chronic disease, 70% of deaths in the U.S. are the direct result of preventable chronic illness. And the problems are worsening with over 1,000,000 children in the U.S. under 6 on pharmaceuticals. Plus autism is exploding. In the last 40 years, Autism has increased from 1 in 10,000, to 1 in 44. A 78% increase in one decade alone. And with childhood obesity affecting 9 million children (1 in 6 ages 6-19) three time that of 1980, the U.S. is facing a health pandemic.
According to the World Health Organization, cancer is predicted to increase 70% by 2035. At present cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children. In adults, cancer strikes every 1 in 2 men, and 1 in 3 women in their lifetime. Cancer it appears is the canary in the coal mine. Thus the facts add urgency to why knowing how to live prevention is urgent.
