Introducing The Fathercraft Bag—
The Diaper Bag Designed for the Modern Dad

Denver, Colorado, United States - June 21, 2022 /MarketersMEDIA/ —

The Fathercraft bag, the revolutionary new diaper bag engineered from the ground up for dads, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Fathercraft’s fundraising campaign has been a resounding success thus far; surpassing its fundraising goal in the first 29 minutes, to date raising 555% of the initial fundraising target.

The days of dads cracking open a cold one while mom does all the work are long gone. While today’s dads are more hands-on than ever, baby toting gear has yet to catch up to this reality. Most cheap diaper bags are intentionally designed to be disposable while expensive designer bags lack common sense functionality. Fathercraft is aiming to fill this gap with a bag that is functional, versatile, comfortable and designed to be repurposed long after the diaper days.

“My co-founder John carried around a vinyl green-and-white polka dot Kate Spade diaper bag for years. Clearly, it wasn't aesthetically designed with dads in mind, but the bigger problem was it wasn't all that functional. It lacked pockets for organizing the load of stuff you need to carry around as a new parent. It was too small, too tall and narrow, and had uncomfortable shoulder straps,” says Paul Zalewski, co-founder of Fathercraft on the inspiration behind the project. “We started thinking, 'what would a diaper bag that was built from the ground up for dads look like?' And that was the genesis of The Fathercraft Bag.”

The Fathercraft bag is designed for life as a modern dad. Loaded with pockets galore for gadgets and baby gear, a grab-and-go removable storage cube for easy access during playdates and an oversized changing pad makes “dad-on-duty” easier than ever. Premium details and materials such as Cordura nylon and Fidlock magnetic buckles give the bag timeless style, while comfortable straps and soft handles make wearing the bag during long trips to the park or zoo more comfortable than ever. The Fathercraft bag’s adjustable straps mean it can be worn as either a traditional backpack or a messenger bag depending on dad’s preferences. Best of all, the bag is designed to be usable and repurposed long after kids have headed off to school.

“The days of dads heading to the bar to watch the game on Saturdays and then to the golf course every Sunday are gone. The modern father is more involved in parenting than ever,” adds co-founder John Doht. “But most baby gear out there still caters exclusively to moms. With The Fathercraft Bag, we've built our first physical product to equip today’s dad. To inspire adventure, and bring even more joy to fatherhood.”

About Fathercraft

Fathercraft was founded in 2017 by brothers-in-law John Doht and Paul Zalewski. Paul and John became dads around the same time, and, wanting to be involved parents, went looking for great resources to learn about parenting. When they couldn't find high-quality research-backed info for dads, they decided to build the company they wished they'd found. Today, across its website and YouTube channel, Fathercraft creates product reviews and other content to help dads and new parents learn about parenting, leveraging video and easy-to-consume content. Fathercraft also creates stuff that makes parenting (even more) fun, like Father's Ed, an online video course for dads-to-be, and the forthcoming Fathercraft Bag.
