Thomas P. Knapp (1920-2011) was an avid collector and an expert specialist in first flight covers. His grandfather, Edward Spring Knapp, one of the most famous philatelists of his time in the 1910s-1930s, helped start his interest early in his youth when Tom was only 10.
A premier classic airmail postal history collection started in the 1930's by the late Mr. Knapp.
