SANTA BARBARA, CA - February 14, 2017 /MarketersMedia/ —
There is universal consensus that the role of university degree in personal development of individuals is immense and irreplaceable in that it helps to considerably solidify students’ intellectual and practical competencies and prepare them for successful career paths. However, in today’s fast-paced society, an increasing number of companies are actively seeking to hire apprentices. Santa Barbara City College offers great career opportunities and training programs, especially designed for those who aren’t pursuing college credits but instead learning something new. A prominent Santa Barbara property investor and successful entrepreneur, Kenny Slaught recently reviewed the establishment’s offerings on his blog at KennySlaught.com.
The community of Santa Barbara is a space that provides its citizens with many prospects with career advancement and professional training in skills that are relevant in the real world. Having mentioned before the many ways the community comes together and pushes forward programs that benefit all of those who call Santa Barbara home, Kenny Slaught discussed the various programs available to those interested, including Computer Network Engineering, Culinary Arts and Hotel Management, Environmental Horticulture, Graphic Design, among others.
Santa Barbara City College has built a great reputation when it comes to training professionals who work in the area of network support. According to Kenny Slaught, “your valuable time will be wisely invested studying this promising and useful program.” Network engineers work within a company taking care of their computer network and providing employees with the best technological applications in connectivity and data management. As it happens with many jobs in communications technologies, career opportunities are great and growing in numbers every year.
The service and hospitality industry is another field that offers great opportunities at competitive salaries and that gives graduates the chance to perfect their crafts and pursue their goals of becoming a great chef, manager, or hotel administrator. The Culinary Arts and Hotel Management program available at SBCC is diverse and touches up on many different aspects of the service industry of all different sizes. Acquiring skills like these can help people find jobs not only locally, but project to relocate practically anywhere else in the world. Kenny Slaught point to another interesting aspect of the program, “It can prepare students to start their own businesses and fulfill their dream of becoming a business owner and working for themselves.”
