Travelers to France can then use the newly launched app to upload their invoices into the app. Afterward, they would need to generate a digital refund form after verifying their identity. Before leaving Lyon, users need to bring all their goods to a Wevat-supported departure point and scan the barcode at a PABLO detaxe kiosk. Users will then receive their full refund within three months after their departure in their preferred currency and refund method.

The standard rate in France is 20% but can rise to 25%, depending on the goods being purchased. Wevat works for most common goods, excluding services, tobacco products, food, and pharmaceuticals.
