A local tutor for high school students in Mianus, Port Chester, and surrounding areas has expanded her services to offer SAT tutoring. Shark Tutor LLC ( 203-249-9460), owned and operated by Sharon Kistler, offers results-oriented, personalized tutoring sessions both online and in person.
Riverside, United States - February 16, 2023 /PressCable/ —
The goals of Shark Tutor LLC’s recently launched SAT tutoring program include presenting strategies and pacing, teaching techniques and shortcuts, and increasing flexibility in the student’s approach. Kistler also aims to help students create a sense of accountability and responsibility for practice outside of tutoring sessions.
More information is available at https://www.sharktutorct.com
Shark Tutor LLC recommends that students begin its new SAT tutoring program a minimum of 2.5 months before the test itself, with sessions taking place on a weekly basis throughout the academic year. Sessions are typically between 1 hour to 90 minutes in length, with students expected to devote an additional 1.5 hours per week to independent practice.
Most students will begin Shark Tutor LLC’s coaching program by completing a mock SAT or recent “cold” test to determine their areas of strength and weakness. This allows Kistler to create a customized tutoring program that caters to the student’s individual needs.
Kistler’s SAT tutoring services can be provided at the student’s home, the tutor’s home, or at a local library. Online tutoring via Skype is also available to boarding school students or those not local to Mianus, Port Chester, and surrounding areas.
In addition to SAT test tutoring, Shark Tutor LLC offers preparatory teaching sessions for ACT tests, PSAT tests, SAT2 subject tests for Math 1, Math 2, and English Literature, plus SSAT/ISEE, GMAT, and GRE tutoring. Kistler also provides college application essay consultation and general academic tutoring in Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-calculus.
With her expanded services, Kistler aims to provide students with the skills and strategies required to approach the SAT test with confidence.
Sharon Kistler is an Ivy League graduate with 13+ years of experience coaching and tutoring over 800 students. She has established a strong reputation for her results-oriented, personalized approach to tutoring, as indicated by her numerous positive testimonials.
A satisfied parent said, “Through Sharon’s assessment of my son's SAT aptitude, she was able to identify both his strengths and weaknesses and customized his tutoring sessions to support his progress. Her easygoing manner is highly effective when discussing the stress associated with college testing as well. After tutoring by Sharon, my son’s final score places him in the 99th percentile.”
