To promote the expansion of passenger rail in AZ and beyond and to educate and engage the public.

Phoenix, Arizona Oct 30, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - All Aboard Arizona is pleased to announce its Fall Summit, taking place in Phoenix at the Doubletree Suites by Hilton on Saturday, November 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn about passenger rail advocacy, the status of rail projects in the region, and how you can get involved and have your voice heard.

This year's topics include the proposed Sun Corridor, a daily Sunset Limited through Phoenix, the once-in-a-generation funding, and initiatives resulting from the White House and Congress, these include the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Build Back Better programs and our role in securing those funds.  Speakers joining us include Carlos Lopez, Arizona DOT, Marc Pearsall, Amtrak, Meredith Richards, Chairman, Rail Passengers Association, Todd Liebman, All Aboard Arizona President, and Brian Yanity, RailPAC.

The Summit promises to be an informative and engaging event. Be sure to register to attend either in person or via Zoom.  An informal gathering and coffee hour begins at 8:30 am with the official summit commencing at 10:00 am. About All Aboard Arizona:
All Aboard Arizona (AAAz) an Arizona-based 501c3 non-profit, advocates for passenger rail services as an integral part of long-distance, regional, and local transportation systems.  We were the first to propose light rail service between downtown Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa, now a reality. We were early advocates of commuter rail service for the Phoenix area, as well as regional service between Phoenix and Tucson. These are now being seriously studied by state and local officials and agencies. We have long advocated daily Amtrak service through Southern Arizona and our efforts have assured us a seat at the table.  In the past, the question was: "Will there be passenger rail?" Now that others - cities, elected officials, and business leaders - have joined in support of passenger rail service, we can focus on "What type(s) of passenger rail will exist?" and "Where will trains run?"  Membership in All Aboard Arizona is open to all interested in public transportation, climate change, smart growth, and rural/urban planning.
