Cornish holiday company Harbour Holidays had a record day of bookings on the official release of its availability calendars for Padstow cottage holidays in 2020.

Harbour Holidays has already booked 10% of its accommodation for holidays in Padstow next year, following the online launch of its 2020 availability earlier this week.

The company officially released its 2020 holiday dates at midday on Tuesday 13th August leading to a rush of bookings for its properties in Padstow and surrounding villages.

On a busy first day sales for 2020, the Harbour Holidays team took 209 bookings which is an increase of 22% on last year’s successful release date.

Week-long stays and short breaks at its cottages, houses and apartments in beautiful coastal and countryside locations have been selling fast thanks to a large number of repeat bookings from regular visitors.

Harbour Holidays released the dates in the middle of the school summer holidays when the maximum number of people are enjoying or have just returned from a holiday in Cornwall. Many people are keen to book the same property or stay again in the area for their family holidays the following year.

Harbour Holidays director Nicky Stanley commented: “It has been an exceptional start so far. We had people queuing on phones and outside the office here in Padstow to get their 2020 dates. It was amazing.

“Some people like to take the same property every year and are keen to snap it up for their preferred dates as soon as it becomes available.

“This certainly appears to be the case this year where the most popular properties are almost fully booked for next year’s school summer holidays already.”

The Padstow holiday specialist now promotes over 180 properties, including a number of new homes available for the first time in 2020.

New properties this year include light and airy houses overlooking the Camel Estuary in Padstow; contemporary countryside cottages in St Merryn; and a family home close to the beach in Trevone.

“With more properties and a greater range of choice than ever before, we’re expecting record bookings this year.” said Nicky Stanley. “As Padstow holiday specialists we have the largest collection of properties available to rent in the area. People who want to stay in or close to Padstow will naturally come to us to secure their preferred dates as early as possible.”
