Aug 22, 2023
Fort Worth, Texas Aug 21, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievement of Raven Johnson, a 16-year-old honor student at Emerson High School, who has been crowned Miss Juneteenth DFW 2023. Raven's dedication to academics, sports, and community service has shone brightly, making her a true role model for young individuals across the nation.
When Raven is not excelling in her studies, she can be found passionately pursuing her athletic endeavors. A track and field enthusiast with a focus on pole vault and hurdles, she recently earned a coveted spot on the Academic All-State Track & Field Team. Her undeniable talent also earned her the title of MVP for the Varsity Track & Field Season of 2023. Not stopping there, Raven's history as a former gymnast of ten years has led her to coach gymnastics and join the varsity cheerleading team, showcasing her versatility and commitment.
Raven's journey to the Miss Juneteenth DFW crown was truly special as she was crowned by none other than Miss Black Texas USA, 2023 Aryana Bosh. This remarkable moment not only symbolizes her personal growth but also underscores the unity and empowerment that the pageant stands for.
As Raven prepares to compete for the National Miss Juneteenth USA crown, we invite everyone to join us in supporting her journey by contributing to her National Pageant Competition Fund. With a vision of increased representation for people of color in the realm of sports management, Raven's aspirations extend beyond the crown and into the future. Your support can help turn her dreams into reality.
To engage directly with Raven and share in her celebration, we invite you to attend the Brunch and Greet with Miss JuneteenthDFW on September 10, 2023, at Jambox Dallas.
